Thunder TD-27 (also called Thunder 1) is the original and provides my signature cutting, attack-heavy, bright sound. Thunder TD-27 pack provides a great assortment of instruments and soundscapes to suit all types of rock and pop music, with an emphasis on aggressive music styles where the drums MUST cut through! Thunder Reloaded (also called Thunder 2) is my second expansion for Roland TD-27 and is a perfect complement for drummers who want additional powerful sounds and soundscapes to integrate into their repertoire. The sounds in Thunder Reloaded are deeper, darker and fuller-bodied. This is a great all-around pack for many music types!

Thunder Classic (also called Thunder 3) reimagines vintage and timeless drum kits that complement music from any era. These are not classic drum kits like you have ever heard before! Thunder Classic sounds great with your favorite vintage tracks when you want some punch and power that was missing from the original recording. I have created some interesting and intricate cymbals for this set, as well as some really full sounding, deep drums. Thunder Classic is my darkest and driest expansion. Classic works really well for virtually ALL music types. You can use all the instruments of Thunder Classic with the other 2 Thunder expansions, as well. In fact, Thunder Classic is ideal for adding some vintage textural and artistic elements to the more modern sounding kits on Thunder 1 and 2.

Every Thunder TD-27 pack has certain things in common:

30 kits are fully produced Recording Kits, featuring an easy to recognize icon on the kit name screen. I utilize all the features of the TD-27 module to craft kits that sound like they were recorded with complete production tools in a world-class studio.

30 kits are Live Kits, featuring close mic isolation techniques and a controlled sonic environment that would be used for live sound reinforcement, such as during performances. These sets offer a completely different playing experience and are ideal when you want a more focused sound, complete with all the production that a professional sound engineer would utilize live.

My kits feature custom programming across all 12 trigger inputs of the TD-27 module, featuring 4 toms, HH, ride, 2 crashes, kick, snare and 2 effect cymbals per kit.
